Traditionally developers and testers have been sworn enemies, each vehemently defending their own realm. Then agile came along and started talking about the whole team approach. Karen and Sam pair work everyday at Growing Agile. They believe in the benefits of agile teams and apply the principles and values in their own work. They think with one brain, so don’t be surprised if they both answer you in stereo. Their story began in the dark ages of 2008 when Karen’s husband interviewed a would be Scrum Master named Sam. Shortly after meeting her he said: “You should meet my wife, you’d get on really well”. It took about a year, but eventually they did meet, in a Scrum Master job interview. Karen hired Sam within 24 hours, and the rest as they say is history. They have been collaborating and drinking wine together ever since.
