Posting a meeting announcement on the website

Select Create Content -> Story, then follow the following list through the headings in the form.

Tags

Select the Meetings tag.

Content

Copy and paste spin-meeting-announce-post-template.txt (bottom of this page) into the compose window, and fill it in. Split the summary just above the "Time" heading.

Split the summary Just after the date, Just before the RSVP heading.

The input format is full html, with the difference that line breaks are obeyed and an open line splits a paragraph.

Select "Show summary in full view" if not already selected.

Delete the link for the slides, we add them back when we have the slides. Drupal does not deal with the comments. grrr.

Input Format

Make sure the full HTML input format is selected.

Attachments

Attach the speakers' slides when available. Typically this happens only after the meeting. Note the files that are too big are not allowed. PDF is usually not a problem. The file upload size may need to be set to something bigger in the server's PHP settings, and then also in Drupal.

Zip powerpoint presentations, and any presentation that has multiple files.

Unselect the "list" option for the attachments.

Publishing options

Select Promoted to front page and published. This is default for the Story content type. Select Published. DO NOT select Sticky at the top of lists.
