Scrum is an iterative software development methodology focusing on low overhead, customer value and communication. This overview will cover all the major points of the methodology.
The Ball Point game is an exercise used in Scrum training to illustrate the principles. The objective of the Ball Point game is to get as many balls through the team as possible within two minutes. Each ball must be touched at least once by every team member and must end with the same person with whom it began. After two minutes the team is allowed an additional minute to discuss the process and how it could be improved.
Sue is a certified Scrum Master and Scrum Evangelist for 24.com. She is currently the Scrum Master for the Netads team while her previous projects as Scrum Master include Gotravel24, Search24 and MyFundi. Sue has trained and coached both Kalahari.net and MyFundi and these have adapted to Scrum well. Prior to practicing Scrum, she was a Business Analyst for 24.com with a specific focus on Enterprise Architecture for Kalahar.net. Before joining 24.com she was Development Manager at UCS, the focus here was a Java retail system for a client based in the UK. Her degree in Information systems supports her career spectrum well.
Peter Hundermark is a recovering project manager practising agile ways to create software products. He introduced Scrum into a 300-person enterprise in 2006 and was accredited as a Certified Scrum Coach in 2007. Peter enjoys reading broadly on Scrum, Lean and other agile practices, collaborating teams, learning organisations and leadership. He works as a Scrum Coach with Scrum Sense in Africa, Europe and South America.

It sounds like the CT-SPIN team got a new world record in the Ball points game - the jury is still out, but watch this space!
